Bananas and Zucchinis Oh my!

I baked a banana cake today. We've had so much zucchini and bananas at our house that we needed to do something with them before they start to go bad. We've been eating zucchini bread and putting zucchini in our salads and adding bananas in our pancacas and oatmeal! I am all zucchini and banana'd out.

Last night I was looking for Hiro all over Bo's house and he was hiding!!

Also, I watched Wanted last night. That's all.

Craziness

I forgot to mention when I went to Studio Diner the other night with Joel we were standing in the parking lot just chit-chatting away and I looked inside this car and I saw a Domo-kun tissue holder I believe? I want one! It's so cute. The crazy thing about this story was that I was just standing next to the car taking pictures of Domo-kun while I was making Joel watch out for any people walking towards us.

Can't Wait...

To order the new state of the art LIFE navigation system. HAHA.

For example:

Navigator: "The FBI will invade your apartment in 30 seconds. Please vacate the premises."

IngeuniTEA and More

I went to Cafe Venti and I think this is the most amazing creation ever. Too bad I don't have a video on my bloggie to show the wonders of the IngenuiTEA. I love it!!

Bo got a Cafe Deluxe.

I guess it comes with espresso that your pour over it which I wasn't too crazy for because it was kind of strong but it was still good. I love shaved ice.

My Chocolate de Mexico. HAHA. I even pronounced it like this (choco-latte dew meh-hee-ko). OMG i'm laughing because when I did say it like that the owner looked at me kind of weird. At least Bo and his friends are frequent customers so I didn't look like a complete WEIRD-O.

Best Friends Dinner IV

Joel and I don't do dinner that often but when we do we try to go all out and try different restaurants or if not a new restaurant then just a different dish on the menu!! Well I guess you can say that's more of Joel's goal than mine because I am the type of person that will just get the same thing all the time but then Bo has kind of helped me to venture out and try new things. Anyway, we went to Studio Diner! Its amazing to me how many times they show Studio Diner on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Sorry I didn't get the "elbow guns" in this picture. I kind of wanted to sit outside with the giant godzilla monster so maybe next time.

Loving my Roy Rogers!! =)

Onto the artery clogging portion...

I guess after weeks of eating salad and exercising hard core Joel decided that he would let himself go and get a Monte Cristo.

I got a San Diegan. I don't understand this San Diegan deal the only difference is that they add avocados and bacon. At California Pizza Caca they have a San Diegan pizza and that comes with avocados and red onions? I don't know???

We ended dinner with a peach cobbler that we didn't even finish. It was yummy though!

Where will Best Friend's Dinner V be next? That is the question!

Filipinos

I love Filipinos and I'm not talking about the people! I wish they sold these here!! =(

Thank you Andrew!!

Did We Hit Rock Bottom?

Don't hang yourself...yet.

Literally, Andrew and I hit up Rock Bottom last night. =) A night of wine steals for $3.75 and a little chita -chata. Not to be confused with green tea kita-kata! What a steal for a glass of wine though but only because it was HAPPY HOUR!! This is what happened!

Asian Bartender: Hi guys. What would you like?
Andrew: An iced water and white wine please.
Asian Bartender: That will be $3.75
Andrew + Me: WOW! What a steal!
Weird man sitting next to us at the bar: (Glances over with a weird look)

Obviously the picture I posted isn't of Rock Bottom because we were sitting outside enjoying the lovely weather and our beautiful view of the ultra chic El Torito. Don't even get me started!! It was a good night!!!

Barbeque Bonanza

When I eat bbq in San Diego I usually go to Phil's BBQ in Sports Arena area. Anyway, Nimitz discovered this place in Clairemont and although it doesn't look like your typical bbq restaurant the ribs were delicious!! Random I know!

I enjoyed my ribs while watching the US gymnastics olympic trials. I loved the fact that this couple at the table next to us were so into watching it that the lady was shouting, "STICK THE LANDING!!!! STICK IT!!! YESSSSSSS!!!" GYMNASTICS........BACKFLIP!!

Hot Like Fire

It was so hot yesterday it was disgusting. On hot days like that my mom thinks it a good idea to close all the windows and doors in our house so the warm air from outside won't come in. It's a good idea when there's maybe 3 people in the house I think but when there are 20 people all sitting in the kitchen it is just ridiculous. I think when the windows start to fog up there's a slight problem.
Anyway, we had tons and tons of zucchini from my uncle's garden so my auntie asked me to make zucchini cake.
I didn't really do anything since I was sick and didn't want to infect anything. I just had Jay and Vernice mix everything while I was reading off the ingredients. =)

Vernice kept on licking the batter!! I love her.

We only cooked a small tray and my family ate it all within just a few hours of cooking it.

Every weekend when my mom works she always has either me or my dad drive her and pick her up. ??? My cousin and I went to go pick her up yesterday and we were a little early so we walked around.

HAHA!!! That's all. It was hot.

We Break What?

We Break the Dawn!

Unfortunately I couldn't embed the original video so just listen to the song. I am loving it. =)

Wine and Dine June 2008

Last night was definitely a night to remember. It was a night of celebration and commemoration to our beloved news anchor Tim Russert. Don't get me started!!!

Congratulations Joey on your new job and teaching credential! Reach for the stars because Muzzy has definitely given you inspiration. Je suis la jeunne fille. =)

The night started off with two beautifully decorated food platters.

Imported from Spain!!! This platter features authentic Spanish queso, spicy chorizo, lomo, regular chorizo, jamon, and crackers! Definitely a party on my taste buds!

This lovely fruit platter includes a plethora of vitamins from these sweet mangoes, apples, plumsies, and cherries. FYI, cherries may wreak havoc on the digestive system and may cause diarrhea if eaten in large amounts. =)

I love cornic!!! The salty garlic taste of this crunchy treat makes me smile and have bad breath.

Andrew decided that he wanted to make us his delicious OLIVE OIL CAKE!!!

Here they are the Zester and the Baker. I was the taster! =)

The secret ingredient...

It's done!!

Absolutely delicious!!!

After dessert we played Last Word which was very stressful. Boardgames that have timers and require talking fast give me anxiety but I LOVE IT!!!

Let me give you an example of how this game is played:

Category: THINGS THAT ARE EXPENSIVE
*That begin with the letter N.

Me: Nooses
Joey: Nooses?
Andrew: Yeah, well a Chanel one?
Timer: Buzz
Me: YAY I get to move a space!!

The night was only getting started because we were serenaded by our very own private dancer...

Tina Turner!! I watched her boogie her bootie in London as I petted what was once a Mink family/Mimi's reincarnated fur. It was very soft and warm and can also be worn around the neck.

Soon the night ended and I came home to this adorable baby boo boo butt...

He kind of looks like he has a lazy eye here!! I still love him though with all my heart. <3<3<3

The Birds...

I was sitting at my desk today and guess what was perched up by my window!!

I thought it was really cute until it started attacking its reflection in the window. It was going crazy!! It reminded me of the movie The Birds. I had a stupid moment today at work too. So I didn't know that seagulls have webbed feet? HAHA! I guess they are "sea" birds. That's all.

I was feeling a little under par today. I've had a sore throat the past few days and it finally went away today but then I started to have really bad allergies. =( I took Benadryl and was out within an hour of taking it. =) Bo was really sweet and cooked me shrimp and sausage Jambalaya. Thank you.

Last night was a very special evening so as soon as I post pictures because I'm not on my home compie I will update!!

What?!?

I just had this today even though I have a sore throat and I shouldn't aggravate it with this cold oh so delicious creamy indulgent tasty treat but I couldn't resist the urge to buy it when Bo and I were at VONS! This just reminded me of a story that happened awhile back. Bo and I were at VONS specifically looking for Bailey's Ice Cream. I was searching and I found 1 container! (This was way back in the day when the special edition Haagen-Dazs ice creams all came in different colored containers) I was so excited when I saw the Bailey's Ice Cream I just reached my hand in the freezer and grabbed a container. I went to pay and walked to the car super uber excited to devour it. I wanted to eat it while I was in the car but I waited till we got home. Anyway, I tore open the container and all I could say was, "WTF!!!!!!!! What is this?" Then Bo laughs at me and says, "HAHA!! Black Walnut!! HAHA!! Black Walnut?! Who buys Black Walnut?" That was seriously one of the worst days of my life!! To come home to BLACK F'ing WALNUT.

The End.

I Got Tagged!!

By Nita!! HAHA. I can't believe this. I was getting anxiety thinking about it. I lub you though with all my heart <3<3<3.

"The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer."

It's Not Easy Being Green

He loves everyone. =)

Its What?

Its so cute because my little cousin Vernice LOVES to draw. This picture is called Daddy, Mommy & Baby.

Taste of Gaslamp

I went to the Taste of Gaslamp yesterday! There were over 20 restaurants to choose from. I think Bowie, Yvo, Hiro and I did a pretty good job and went to 15 restaurants. We started off at the beer gardens then ventured off and tried everything from fillet mignon to seared ahi and ended the day with a little wine tasting!! It was AMAZING!!

Soleil at K was my favourite. They had a grilled scallop over risotto which is pretty simple but it was so good and the presentation was gorge. Loved every bit of it. Too bad the restaurant isn't named Soleil Moon Frye. =P

I didn't really take any pictures though. I should have but I was getting overwhelmed because there were too many restaurants to go to and so little time!! I was literally shoving food in my mouth and walking out of the restaurant trying to chew and swallow and having Bo hand me my Voss Artesian Norwegian water to wash the food down. HAHA!

My tasty prawn wrapped with prosciutto and melon salad from Dussinis.

This i've got to say was the worst dish! HAHA. It pretty much tasted like tuna on a ruffles potato chip. The ambience of the restaurant on the other hand was beautiful. LOL!

Anyway, that was my day at Gaslamp and I had a blast! =)

Fun Faces!!

I forgot to post this awhile back because I was so overwhelmed with so many other posts but I saw this at Barney's while shopping with Andrew and Tia Ana and I thought it was exciting!! Look at their faces! HAHA!!

What Day is Today?

Today is Father's day!! =) Happy Father's Day!!

I didn't get any Sunday pancakes this morning...haha. Andrew was telling me I should have cooked my dad pancakes instead. I just made myself a cup of coffee instead and ate frosted mini-wheats. HAHA!!

I bought my dad the new Journey CD Revelation off of the Walmart website. He said that was the only thing he really wanted. I was so frustrated last night because Bo and I were searching the Walmarts in San Diego to find it because its a Walmart exclusive but it was sold out!! I was actually really surprised that it would be sold out I couldn't believe it. Now I have to wait sometime around 6.23-6.27 to get the cd shipped to our house.

I <3 to Clean

I went to my desk early yesterday morning and was welcomed by a box of Sees chocolates and office supplies that I ordered off of Sci-quest! What a great start to my day! I then decided that my desk needed some dusting since my desk is black and I can see all the dust particles sitting on my desk. I then blasted the dust off with this wonderful creation:

Wall-E

I can not wait till this movie comes out!!! I love you Wall-E! He's so cute.

I hope a sequel comes out so we can call it Small-E.

Adventures in Chi-Town: Final Destination San Diego

I got to Chicago at 11:30pm where almost the entire plane was led straight to the customer service line to book flights and get hotel accomodations. There were no more flights to SD from Chicago that night so I had to spend the night and I was able to get a flight to SD the next morning at 10am. I was over being stressed out because I just wanted to get some rest already.

I had to stand in the long customer service line! I guess that night quite a few flights were cancelled also so the airport was just a mess.

I liked how my agent asked me if I was over the age of 21 it made me feel young and beautiful but it was only because any persons under the age of 21 are not able to stay in a hotel so now the question is: What would happen to someone under 21 in this case? Right? Interesting!

I love how the bathrooms in Chicago O'hare have those automatic toilet seat covers. LOL. There was a worker in the bathroom who was very friendly and so outgoing.

"Hi ladies!!! This stall is fresh and ready to go! If you need to use it please go ahead!!! Don't forget all you need to do is hold your hand in front of the sensor and the toilet seat cover will change and is sanitary and ready for use!!" She was sweet and I miss her too.

My agent (makes me sounds important! "My Agent!") put me at the Hilton Garden Inn in Des Plaines. At least I wasn't at a Motel 8 or something.

It was comfy. =)

This sign was outside of my hotel it was kind of funny. Holy Shi!!!

Anyway, I left for the airport pretty early. I was trying to be healthy and take the stairs and not use any of the moving walkways which was a good idea at first until I got to the gate and I was sweating like crazy. It was kind of embarrassing considering there were barely any seats and I had to go and sit by a whole bunch of people who probably saw the beads of sweat dripping down my face.

Good Bye Chi-town!! I didn't exactly have a seating choice for this flight and I had to sit by the window which really isn't my first preference unless I am sitting with friends or family. Only because I like to drink a lot of water and I always need to get up to use the lavatory. I hated this because I was too embarrassed to ask the man next to me to get up. So as soon as the lady who was sitting in the aisle got up to use the toilette I immediately stood up so I could go too just so I didn't have to lug my monster body across 2 people. HAHA. This is stressful for me because I prefer sitting in the aisle. I thought I was going to develop kidney stones because I only went once to pee during this flight! Note to self: maybe you shouldn't drink too much water when going on long flights but isn't that bad because you could get dehydrated?

The movie on the plane was Fool's Gold. I remember when it did come out in theatres I really wanted to see it but when I watched it I didn't really think it was good at all which was disappointing. Anyway, the flight was good and I was so happy to see this:

Hello San Diego!!!
