Biking with Bowie

Bowie and I went biking around Miramar Lake yesterday. It was so beautiful!

Anyway, Bo and I were just chita chatting when an older woman comes running saying calmly...."There's a FIRE. Guys, you gotta help. This is Scripps you never know." I guess at the table next to us this asian family's box of trash caught on fire. Then suddenly all these people ran to the fire and started throwing water and sand on it to put it out.

The End....everyone was safe.

Overwhelmed

I am feeling a tad bit overwhelmed with things to do today!

1. I have a ton of clothes I need to wash.
2. Haven't blogged in awhile and haven't read my google reader in days! LOL. Need to catch up on that right now.
3. My room is a MESS. Don't EVEN get me started on that too. I need to clean up today ASAP.

Donations!! Donations!!

I woke up early today to clean out my closet. I'm going to go to Goodwill later today to donate a whole bunch of stuff.

It's crazy because honestly I've never donated anything to Goodwill before. I say this because we usually give all of our unwanted stuff to our family in the Philippines. The thing with that though is that it takes my mom months to ship these packages to the Philippines and our junk ends up piling up in the garage. Also, my mom and/or auntie will see what I'm giving away and think that they would actually wear it. Let me give you an example:

*A pile of clothes on my bed*
Auntie Cora: Oh! I love that sweater. *Stands in front of the mirror holding it over her body.
Me: Ok are you going to take that?
Auntie Cora: YES! Look at it...it's still wearable. *Walks away with the sweater.
Me: Ok. Good.

*A few hours later.
Auntie Cora: *Holding the sweater. Can you put this in your room for now? I don't have space in my closet. I'll come and get it when I'll wear it.

Now that sweater is still sitting in my closet....

DON'T DON'T DON'T GET ME STARTED....

I'm going to sneak all my bags of goodies in my car so that I can stop by the Goodwill Donation Center down the road before I head to the gym.

Water, I Love You.

I haven't been drinking enough water and I can see it in my skin!!!

Workout Update:

I went to the gym today and was on the elliptical for 30 min then worked out on the stairmaster to the point that I felt as if I was getting light headed!! Kind of bad!

UPDATE:

"Girard" (9:14:13 AM): you need to exercise with a camelpak backpack or an IV unit in your arm so you don't get dehydrated.

Later that night I indulged in this oh so delicious peppermint mocha at Borders while reading gossip and fashion magazines. I LOVE peppermint mochas!

Don't Tell Me its Broken...

I love my mom.

This morning my mom and I were eating breakfast and all we could hear was this weird clanking sound. Lo and behold my mom's beloved washing machine was making the clanking sound. After a round of turning it on and off and restarting the machine and putting it on different settings my mom was on the verge of going crazy. She was on the phone calling my dad and calling people to fix the washer. Let's just say that her washer dryer is her life and there is not a single day when that machine is resting unless my mom is either 1. on vacation out of San Diego let me stress that because even when she is taking a day off to relax her view of relaxation is cleaning the house and washing clothes or 2. she's sick.

She is currently waiting outside for the washer tech to come a fix her baby.

DON'T GET ME STARTED!!!!

I had a good day today.

1. Work was fun and productive.
2. I exercised twice!!!
3. Hung out with Bowie.
4. I didn't even eat that much today either!!! YAY. WOW! (Don't even get me started on this because for the past two days my I had a giant costco key lime pie sitting in my fridge and I pretty much gorged on it every night and now that there isn't anymore i have nothing else to eat.)

Anyway, I was chatting away with Andrew online and getting so excited because I was adding new songs to my shuffle and telling him that I was excited to wash my clothes. HAHA. I know i'm crazy. I love to wash clothes and clean. Anyway, when I took my clothes out of the washer MY POOR SHUFFLE WAS SITTING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WASHER!!!!! I almost died. =( Earlier after I added the new songs to the shufflesies my cousin kept on playing with it so I pulled it out of her hands and unhooked the ear phones from it and just dropped it into my shirt pocket. My dad and I were going to go for a walk so I figured I'll just change out of my work clothes and into my exercise gear and I just dropped my clothes into the wash completely forgetting about the shuffle!! Ugh...

Anyway, my dad felt bad for me I guess and called me destroyer. HAHA. There's a story why he calls me destroyer but I'll finish this story first. Well my dad just gave me his for now. I feel bad though but it did make me happy. =)

Destroyer Story:
When I was little or I guess not that little because I was in Middle School I put one of those instant asian spicy kimchee soup bowls into the microwave. I was on the phone with my friend Amy Lui at the time and this is kind of what happened:

Me: I'm hungry I just put soup in the Microwave.
*Having some sort of conversation about something.
Me: OMG. The wrapper on the soup bowl is curling.
Amy: You didn't take the cover off it has foil on it.
Me: I'm supposed to take it off?
Amy: Yeah.
Me: OMG!! It's on fire. OMG!! There's a fire in my microwave!!
*Throws the phone somewhere and opens the microwave and splashes water on the fire.

A Few Hours Later...I try to pretend that nothing happened.

Dad: Why is there a hole in the microwave? Why is the inside of the microwave all black?
Dad: CHRISTINE!!! DID YOU DO THIS? YOU DESTROYER!! Now we have to buy a new microwave!!

I mean the story wasn't that funny but I guess everytime I do something wrong my dad always has to be like...well when you destroyed the microwave...blah blah blah...HAHA. I love my dad though.

OMG....these just made me happy!! HAHA!!

It does a body good?

I'm at work and in a different department. I wanted to chill my water bottle quick so I opened up the freezer and I couldn't believe my eyes...

Forget All Your Troubles...Forget All Your Cares and Go...Downtown!

I've been going downtown for the past 2 days! Sorry again the quality of the photo is bad. You can barely see the gaslamp sign. Sad to say that I haven't been to any place west of the Puma store. Last night I was surprised to see so many new restaurants, clubs, and bars! I mean everything is NEW!!

BTW, as I was standing next to the Old Spaghetti Factory which is now Dussinis there was a cockroach infestation crawling from the sewers. ACK!

Today Bo, Girard, Chris and I went downtown again to go to 5 & a Dime in hopes of winning a beach cruiser or some other prizes.

We looked across the street and there was this lady/man dressed in 18th century apparel! Bo wanted to take a picture with him/her but he/she already hopped in his/her car by the time we crossed the street.




Boo no picture with lady/man and Boo no luck today cause none of us won anything =(. On a positive note though we did get free ice cream!!!



Aw...Look how happy he is!! =)



I want to eat here. Unfortunately they don't have a real website. They got good reviews though!!!

Yay and Yuck!

I got a new board at work!! My desk space is so happy now!! I will post pictures up soon.

I swear to god that there is a black beetle infestation in San Diego! I see them all over my work crawling in the bushes. DISGUSTING!! The scary thing was that I didn't expect to see one crawling up my driveway and into my garage!! I swept that thing so hard it rolled onto the street. Poor fella. I hope he didn't get hit by a car. Today we had lab cleanup and for lunch we had a picnic in this grassy area across the street and ate sandwiches. Suddenly, on my coworker blanket crawls this black beetle!! I'm freaking out but then she gently pushes it off. =( I hate them they are so scary!!

What Happened?

As I was driving to work today, I took a picture of this mountain. Obviously I know that it is dangerous for me to be taking pictures while I'm driving. I was however the only car on the road at the time so I had ample time to slow down and take this photo. I noticed that the mountain looked burnt the weekend after I went to Vegas when temperatures were sky rocketing those few days. I was just wondering if anyone knew what happened here. Was there a fire?

Gorillas, Chimps, Baboonsies...

I just had Monkey Brains for breakfast!

That's right...Monkey Brains! The Oatmeal....Don't get me started.



Although it is quite tasty, it is ridiculously overpriced! Don't get me started on that! I went on the website and apparently they sell it at Food 4 Less but when Bo and I went there we couldn't find it. We got it at Trader Joes I think? Or it could have been Henry's? I'm not sure. It was one of those type of groceries though!

Yesterday was intense and stressful:

1. Don't ever get Lemon Poppyseed Muffins from Scripps.
A. Disgusting
B. Sour
C. Hard
2. Your stomach will suffer.
A. Any sort of nutrients that your stomach could process from it is NOT WORTH IT.
3. During this time, my hands were significantly dry with no lotion within my vicinity.

I didn't have time to have a Panic Attack yesterday so thank god Andrew had it for me. Thank you! I was so swamped worrying about other things!

BTW, I don't think the Smashbox O-Gloss is as sticky as I thought it was so I like it now! HAHA. I needed a few days to evaluate it.
