I love shredding paper!! It just reminded me of Pam on the Office when it was "bring your kid to work day" and no one wanted to shadow her until then end and then she was like, "this is what I do...*puts a paper through the shredder."

Mosquito....Don't Bother Me

So insects disgust me. There might be a beautiful butterfly fluttering in the wind but when you look at it up close they look scary and make me want to vomit. Although insects represent 90% of the life forms on earth and are the most diverse group of animals on this planet which means they are important in certain aspects such as pollinating, making honey, wax and silk (of course for silk camisoles! HAHA.), treating wounds, recycling decomposing materials and probably so much more...THEY ARE JUST SCARY! Like the June Bugs that are so giamungo and blind and fly into you in the summertime! Anyway, that was just leading into my story today:

I was talking to Andrew and Bo online when I saw a mosquito flying in my room. I was scared! Don't get me wrong. Dengue fever...Rift Valley Fever...West Nile Virus!!! <--All carried by mosquitos. This is what happened:

"Me" (8:02:27 PM): where are you?

"Me" (8:14:39 PM): omg a mosquito flew in my lamp!

"Me" (8:14:47 PM): and all i heard was ding ding ding ding ding zzzzzzzzzzzt

"Me" (8:14:55 PM): does that mean its dead?

"Me" (8:14:58 PM): i'm scared to check

I have still yet to check it. I hope it decomposes in my lamp.

Didn't do much today. Took a nap and woke up to this:



I got new shelving yesterday at work and let me tell you...I was so thrilled to organize my desk space! I love it!

I just bought this the other day:



Honestly, I don't see any change in pink on my lips! HAHA. This is what its supposed to do:

Margaritaville

I got to Old Town early today and I was waiting for Yvonne, Hiro and Ed to get there so I walked around Bazaar Del Mundo.





I went shopping in this really cute store and this old lady was kind of following me around probably because she thought I was going to steal all her turquoise jewelry.



I went upstairs cause I heard this loud sqawking sound then I saw Pico. Although his color was beautiful he was molting like crazy it scared me. I almost cried.



Then I walked outside and saw these.....Wow! Look at the beautiful pottery and pinatas.



I got tired of walking so I sat under this gazebo and took pictures.



This is a fountain with a rocking horse and foliage.

The night ended with......Margaritavilles at Casa Guadalajara! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from there but I got a strawberry margaritaville and it was delicious! Too bad I didn't get any chimichangas only chicken wings and enchiladas =(.

Glow in the Dark

I went to the Glow in the Dark tour on Sunday night!

The thing with the shades is that:

1. I think this is the only way it looks good.
2. I look like super nerd with them on my nose.
3. I can't see with them on and its quite nauseating to be exact.



We had good seats except for that stupid cord hanging from the ceiling that was in my way!! I think I took this pic early in the night so it wasn't full yet. The show was amazing!! Loved it! <3

1/2 a Decade

Its been 5 years already.

I can't believe it? Its been so long. We didn't really do anything extravagant. We thought to ourselves as long as we spent the day together it didn't matter what we did. Yeah....we are boring. I know. It's how we like it though.

We cooked our breakfast and later headed over to Cafe 1135 in Coronado for some tea and dessert. Btw, they have delicious dessert there! I got a key lime tart and Bowie got a petite NY cheesecake. Yumm-o.

For dinner we went to Yummy Sushi.



My beach roll! The masago was like the sand!!!



The volcano on our table was erupting!! You can see Bowie's sashimi dish in the back. That was delicious too. I think I just really like the presentation there its fun.

After dinner we went to the children's pool aka The Cove and literally for like 2 minutes.

Me: Is that black thing a seal?
B: Yeah.
Me: It's cold are you cold?
B: Yeah i'm cold.
Me: Um. It's too cold lets go.
B: Yeah I don't want to get sick.
Me: OMG let's go! I'm so cold AHHH!! OMG I'm cold!!!

And that was our night. The End. =)

What a Relief

The magical notebook fairy must have heard me because my notebook was returned!! It was on my desk this morning.

Also, waiting for me on my desk was my brand spanking new post-it note and tape dispenser.

I have a notebook on my desk at work that I use to write all my notes and its been missing for a few days now. I'm sad! I guess I didn't really have much written in it. Just a few things I would jot down here and there but now I can't find it and I'm seriously so bummed. I've just had it since my first day and now its gone!!

Adipocyte vs. Erythrocyte

This is a fat cell!! How clever is the person who created these stuffed animals? I love it. I only thought to post this because I have my erythrocyte sitting on my dresser. I see it everyday and I just wanted to share this with everyone.





Today on the Delicious Dish on national public radio:

Japanese noodle dish, Champon from Ichiro in Clairemont. It was like a fusion of surf and turf in my mouth. Quite tasty!

I still have yet to hear the "real" Delicious Dish. I am hoping to hear it one day though.

My Love

I would like to introduce everyone to Hiro. He is not just a dog neither is he just a pet. Hiro is a friend, a brother and a true style icon. Tres chic. He is quite photogenic as well. You don't find such qualities in most canines and I'm not talking about the teeth let me tell you.

It's been definitely more than 2 years since I've blogged about anything on any online community in any sort of detail.
