Christmas Festivities by Bo

I was so bummed that I didn't get to go December nights this year after making a huge deal about going so Bo wanted to make it up to me which was the sweetest!! =)

Last night we got down and dirrrrty!! HAHA. Don't EVEN get it twisted!! Bo wanted to make Christmas Wreaths!!

We went to VONS to get all the ingredients and seriously after standing in line for almost 30 min waiting for this guy who bought 7 gift cards and wanted to pay for each of them separately don't even get me started on him it was RIDIC I tell you...we were finally on our way home.

Kekeke!! After a whole lot of heating, melting, mixing, mixing, mixing.........


Tada!! HAHA. The sad thing about it though was Bo and I were going marshmallow crazy. We put a little bit too much marshmallows and the thing was a little bit too chewy. It was almost too exhausting to eat! At least it looked cute and the thought of making it together was absolutely adorable. =) Thank you!!

I think tonight we are going to try to go to the Christmas Boat Parade downtown....Weeee!!

Good to the Bone....

BBQ Chicken isn't short for barbeque chicken but for BEST of the BEST QUALITY CHICKEN! I think this place is a chain too because I think there is one in Irvine? I think its so funny! Bo and I were driving down Convoy the other day and we decided that we always pass this place so why not try it. They are open till I think 11PM or 12AM everyday! The fun thing also is that they have a Karaoke contest Friday nights (this place is small let me tell you) and the winner wins a $20 gift card!!!

We couldn't decide what to order and how big the portions were!!

I decided to order the BB Wings and Bo ordered the Eel. It was sooo much food! OMG. Don't even...

Cavaillon Restaurant with my Loves

A few weeks ago Bo, Andrew, Fil & I decided to try Cavaillon Restaurant! We had a coupon of course because we are all about saving money. HAHA!! I love us.

We started the night off with some Foie Gras! I'm just not a huge fan of chutney. Don't get me started on chutney.

Followed by the beef tenderloin w/short ribs ravioli. Unfortunately, I didn't treat myself to Rossini like Bowie did. HAHA. I like how on the menu it said ***treat yourself by adding Rossini to any meat dish.

We ended the night with San Diego Magazine's 2008 Most Decadent Desserts....LOL! Bowie and I got the housemade ice cream.

I mean don't get me started we did eat more than this....a little bit of wine (even though we were already started from the homemade sangria we drank earlier), pomme frites, creamy potatoes, salmon....more more more!!

Mochilato

Every time Bo and I go up to Irvine to visit Antho we almost always have Mochilato!! This is probably why we are so fat! HAHA. <3<3<3

I'm a fan of all the nutty flavors: pistachio and hazelnut (i'm not quite sure what the other brown one was i'm thinking Tiramisu?) but I decided that I wanted to try the plum flavor also.

I was thinking to myself oh this isn't that much "2 mochilatos....that's nothing" so I made Antho get a "small" shaved ice too. HAHA!! WE ARE BARBARIANS!!!! LMAO. Not to mention the fact that we were sitting by Tito Buff...haha that was fun.

Biking with Bowie

Bowie and I went biking around Miramar Lake yesterday. It was so beautiful!

Anyway, Bo and I were just chita chatting when an older woman comes running saying calmly...."There's a FIRE. Guys, you gotta help. This is Scripps you never know." I guess at the table next to us this asian family's box of trash caught on fire. Then suddenly all these people ran to the fire and started throwing water and sand on it to put it out.

The End....everyone was safe.

Adventures in LA with my Loves

Bowie and I were up in LA for the day enjoying his week off from school and me just enjoying a few days off of work. We did a little shopping but unfortunately didn't find anything! That was a disappointment! =( Boo. Anyway, Andrew made reservations at this cute restaurant called Animal. No, Animal from the Muppets wasn't there. HAHA. I was checking reviews on YELP and they were mostly good so I was excited to try the place!

After dinner Andrew took us to the most amazing Karaoke place i've gone to!! Where else do they have Come Close? You tell me...

If your not sweating...you're not karaoke-ing hard enough. LOL.

Oh what a night! It was fun.

We had breakfast at Joan's on 3rd. Andrew and I got the steel cut oats and Bowie got some french toast. We also split this scrumptious banana chocolate muffin. The place was absolutely cute!! =) Too bad we didn't get to see Nicole.

Had dinner with Joel and Bowie yesterday. I ate so much that I am going to the gym right now to work out hard core!! Don't Don't Don't get me started....

Panera's Puffy Pastries

I didn't actually get a pastry because they were all sold out because Bo and I went pretty late in the evening but I did get a cinnamon crunch bagel and a chai tea latte! Bo needed to study and I needed to type up some data for work.

I was getting a bit nostalgic thinking of the Borders chai while drinking the Panera chai. It reminded me of when Andrew stocked up on Borders chai because we found out that they were switching to Seattle's Best Coffee and so he bought like 20 cans of it as if we were in an emergency crisis! Who cares about first aid kits when you can have a lifetime supply of Borders chai! Although it wasn't exactly a lifetime supply more like 8 cans.

I LOVE IT!!

Modus

After Bo's Birthday dinner we went to Modus in downtown. I guess YELP had pretty good reviews on the place. What made the place even better was that I didn't even notice that I was sitting next to Latika!! I was just enjoying my Malibu and pineapple and Bo pointed her out to me!!

To the aspiring dermatologists out there reading this blog....HELP! I was breaking out so BAD!! HAHA. I can't believe I'm even posting this picture on here but only for the sake of Latika. I love you.

Drinks were cheap and the music was fun! I had a good time and so did Bo! Happy Birthday!

Babe's Birthday Dinner at Karl Strauss

It was Bowie's Buuurthday a few weeks ago. Bo didn't really plan anything too crazy this year. Last year we did Lei Lounge. We ended up going to Karl Strauss with his family. For some reason we thought that the Karl Strauss in Sorrento was open on a Saturday but it wasn't and we ended up going to the Karl Strauss in La Jolla!

Don't EVEN get me started on this night. All poor Bowie wanted for dinner was steak so he ordered Filet Mignon which ended up being sold out and then Bo pretty much went down the list of steaks which were all sold out except for I think the NY strip? The manager had to come to our table and give us a discount on our meal for the inconvenience! At least we enjoyed our calamari and Hefeweizen which probably would have been better if they gave us an orange slice rather than a lemon.

After dinner we decided to walk around Prospect and hang out with our herd of cattle! LOL. I guess they still have those artsie cows around La Jolla still.

Probably not a good picture to post for the world to see but the cow was pretty!! HAHA!! I felt like I was standing next to a Picasso painting! A Cow next to a Cow. LOL!!! Thank you.

OMG I love him. HAHA. He's so gangsta gangsta!!

We ended up walking to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!! LOL. We eat so much!! We got a frozen banana!

Looking For a New Place to Ride

Don't even get me started...the only thing Bo and I could think about was going down this hill only to realize later how hard it would be going back up. I don't know if I want to ride this path again...HAHA.

Dinner With Bowie's Fam

Went to Leung Hai Ky the other day for dinner with Bowie and his parents.

I like this Chinese bread. Its yummy. I don't even know what its called. I think its just called Chinese Bread. HAHA.

I ordered the seafood porridge. It was delicious! I love it! =)

Chicago on a Bun

I could have also titled this entry, "How to make Andrew throw up!"

Went to eat lunch at Chicago on a Bun with Bowie and his madre. I didn't even know there were 3 locations! We went to the one in La Jolla. I used to come here with Joel for lunch and it was funny because I guess Joel would come here so often that the worker bees knew him and would be like "Hey Joel, the usual?" HAHA. It's good here if you don't mind spending 7 dollars on a hot dog with potato chips. On the other hand I guess the hot dogs are shipped from Chicago and the potato chips are homemade which makes it worthwhile I guess?

Bowie's Cheesesteak...this was kind of bland though?

Beautiful

Bo and I went biking again at Miramar Lake last weekend but I only did 7 miles. I was tired and we went in the middle of the day in the blazing heat!!! I was sweating like Whitney Houston in my regular clothes and I was uncomfortable!! I ended up sitting at a bench enjoying the scenery and watching these killer geese live their lives and chatting it up with Bowie's friend....
