Happy Burthday Love Joey...

Joey took me out to dinner for my Burthday at The Old Spaghetti factory on Wednesday up in San Marcos.

Thank You. I love you.

Best Friend's Dinner IX

Is that right? I don't remember how to write Roman Numerals!! HAHA. It was either that or VIIII.

Honestly I don't know if its our 9th dinner? LOL. Joel says it is. So I believe him. Cause what ever happened to our dinners 7 and 8? OMG. HAHA. I never posted about it.

I've actually been wanting to find a good Tapas place in San Diego but for some reason we ended up wanting to try this British Pub in Little Italy called the Princess Pub and Grille and when we Yelped the place and saw bad reviews Joel found another pub off of India Street called the Shakespeare Pub and Grille that was worth trying!!!

Although we were the darkest people at the place and probably looked like touristas with our picture taking craziness I had a fabulous time!!

Can you see the red telephone booth off to the left side? We spent a great deal of our night there taking photos. LOL!!!

Joel has most of the pictures on his camera since I was showing him how to use the different modes. HAHA. Don't even get me started on that. I'm so nice! LOL. =)

Our Magner's Irish Cider! Yummy!! =) For dinner I decided to get the Shepherd's Pie and Joel got the Fish and Chips. I'll post more pictures as soon as I get them from him.

After dinner Joel and I decided to go to Gelato Vero. I know we eat so much!!!

Surprisingly I didn't get Pistache! Instead I opted for the Spumoni!!! A great ending to a scrumptious dinner! I loved it! =)

Fiamma Trattoria & Bar

Apparently this place is Rachael Ray's favourite Italian restaurant.

Fiamma Trattoria & Bar

I went there when I was in Vegas. It was good but the pasta was so soft it tasted more like I was eating ramen noodles. I like my pasta a little more al dente.

I ordered this Lobster and Gnocchi dish which was really good. I didn't expect to get so much lobster but I did!

We couldn't decide which dessert to get because there were so many ones that sounded so good so we asked our server to surprise us. This apparently won "best dessert" a year ago I believe.

Donut balls with a ricotta filled center with 3 dipping sauces (peanut butter, chocolate, and this wine flavoured one I forgot what it was called)

Catching Up

Tuesday night Joel and I had our Best Friend's Dinner at Uno Chicago Grill in Fashion Valley. We were both craving some deep dish pizza with some buttery crust.

It was funny because when we met up with each other we were kind of dressed in the same colors! It was grey, black and white themed. HAHA.

Lots of catching up on each others lives and of course eating. Unfortunately, I was too full to eat dessert which I guess was also a good thing.

After dinner, Joel and I decided to do a little shopping. I was proud of myself for not buying anything but Joel on the other hand went a little crazy. HAHA. I was there to support him in all of his spending glory.

Tina Turner Concert

Columbus Day....A day of Celebration of the Anniversary of the Arrival of Christopher Columbus to the Americas OR TINA TURNER CONCERT NIGHT at the Staples Center! Haha.

Unfortunately, unlike the few special individuals who had the day off Joey and I had to work in the morning and finally drive up in the early afternoon to Los Angeles to meet up with Andrew and Ana.

Car Ride = Stories Galore and the obvious catching up on some Y&R talk.

We did have to stop at this SCARY gas station because Joey and I needed to use the toilettes. The bathroom was vandalized and scary! I should have took a picture of it but I pretty much wanted to do my business and get out of there ASAP. As a token of my appreciation for Joey driving all the way up to LA I bought him this thirst quenching bottle of water.

The label was taped on!! HAHA. With scotch tape! What a start to our night!

We parked here at the Nokia center and strategically parked close to the exit for easy.....EXITING. LOL!

Tina!! The Tinettes are COMING!!!

Can you see the muppet lady behind Joey?

Andrew + Ana = Gorge

We were high up and I was getting a little bit scared but I was having a good time.

A Tina fan waiting in the LONG LONG LONG restroom line during the 45 min intermission so Tina could get an IV stuck in her.

TINA!!! SIMPLY.....THE BEST!! I LOVE YOU!!!

VAVA What?

Joel and I went to Fashion Valley yesterday to go shopping. He needed to buy a few things and I was helping him out. I was a little bit hung over from Andrew's birthday celebrations the night before so I was just a little out of it (details on Andrew's Blog about that celebration I'm just too lazy to type up anything plus I don't have any pictures to post from it on my camera because they are all on Andrew's camera which unfortunately didn't make it with him to Spain YET but will be there in only a few days). I didn't really feel like eating anything which I guess was good I guess. After walking to 20 million stores in search for a white watch a Starbucks employee came to us offering his last 3 samples Starbuck's new nourishing blends Vivanno chocolate banana smoothie. He made us take all 3 and of course because it was free and we are ghetto barbarians we took it. He also gave us two coupons for a complimentary vivanno drink!! Seriously about 15 minutes later a different lady came up to us offering another sample of the chocolate banana smoothie and again took some!! HAHAHA!!

After walking around Fashion I was finally ready for my complimentary grande vivanno smoothie!! Ok I checked on the Starbucks website for nutritional facts and I guess it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Although 270 calories will probably take me 30 min on the treadsies to burn off. Before that too Joel and I got a sample from Wetzel's Pretzels right before we got our drinks!!

Joel wanted to try these donut balls from d'lush. I know i know especially because Andrew will probably read this and be like WTF why are you eating donut balls when you need to be on a serious CRASH DIET for Euro photoshoot 2008. I didn't eat anything all day so I was kind of hungry. Anyway, the lady at d'lush gave us a free sample of the VAVA balls! 1. They were fresh and so tasty!!! 2. Warm and chewy!! 3. So Joel and I decided to buy a dozen. When we got our cup of balls they weren't so fresh so we were kind of disappointed. =( Still they were good though but not at great as the sample ones.

Our VAVA Balls!!

Ok I don't know if you can really see in the picture above but there is a woman in a blue shirt. Joel and I were sitting up on these stools so we could see the entire food court. Anyway, the woman in blue was sitting with her boyfriend/husband and we were just watching his hand caressing her stomach underneath the table and kind of doing that hand movement I don't know if you guys remember when Diana Ross played with Lil' Kim's boob at the MTV Video Music Awards a few years ago? Well he was doing that to her stomach for awhile and I was pointing it out to Joel and grossing him out. After we finished our donuts and drinks we got our last sample of the day a cup of lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick! We are barbarians!!! I know!!

I let all these free samples.......MAKE ME OVER!!

Downtown San Diego Madness!!

Saturday started off as "family time" in the morning followed by a calorie burning adventure with Andrew at 24 hour fitness.

It was Andrew's cousin Aldryn's 30th Birthday and we celebrated in style at the ultra trendy Hard Rock Hotel. Not to mention we did start off the night with some stylish lemon flavored gum!!
We left for downtown around 8:45PM because we figured that since there was a Padres game at Petco Park there would be a ton of traffic and it would be hard to find parking. We thought to ourselves if anything we'll just pay $30 to have our car valeted at the hotel if we couldn't find street parking. Don't get me started the second we got off the 163 there was traffic!! Street were closed and we were directed to streets leading away from the hotel! After 15 minutes of driving around which seriously felt like a lifetime we ended up at the front of the hotel.

Andrew: Hi! I need to valet my car.
Valet man: Sorry the lot is fun but if you do have a room at this hotel then we will allow 1 car.
Andrew: Oh.
(*knocking on Bo's window who ends up being Bo's friend!)
Bo's friend Valet man #2: Sorry man we are full but if you can get to that parking structure back there (in this area right next to Petco park) I can get you a validation.
Andrew: How do I get there?
Bo's friend Valet man #2: You'd have to drive around the block.
(At the time there were TONS of TRAFFIC i.e. a Don't Get Me Started Moment)
Andrew: Okay. Thanks.

After another probably 15 minutes of illegal talking on the cell phone while driving and driving around gaslamp we finally found parking!! We did still have to wait outside for one of Andrew's cousins to come get us since hotel security doesn't allow anyone into the hotel if you don't have a key but we FINALLY stepped foot inside!!

Seriously to think that Aldryn had a rooftop suite and we even knew someone who worked the valet and we STILL couldn't get any parking at the hotel it was chaotic. Then as soon as we made our way to the elevators the security stopped us AGAIN because there were so many people going upstairs it seriously was just MADNESS I tell you! HAHA.

After going through all those obstacles just to get to this party we just partied the night away with food and drinks!

The birthday celebrant and birthday celebrant's little league friend who was randomly making conversation to us about jumping into the hot tub.

Bo's M3 stripes. *Inside jokesies. =)

We were sitting waiting for this party to get started!! Then it finally got started! HAHA.

After a few hours we sat outside in the patio and were entertained by a chatty Cathy who was pretty much falling out of her seat. Andrew took this photo. OMG. She was talking so much she was asking the people that she was talking with if they are tired of listening to her.

Soon it was time to go home...

It was a night of fun! =)

Wine and Dine June 2008

Last night was definitely a night to remember. It was a night of celebration and commemoration to our beloved news anchor Tim Russert. Don't get me started!!!

Congratulations Joey on your new job and teaching credential! Reach for the stars because Muzzy has definitely given you inspiration. Je suis la jeunne fille. =)

The night started off with two beautifully decorated food platters.

Imported from Spain!!! This platter features authentic Spanish queso, spicy chorizo, lomo, regular chorizo, jamon, and crackers! Definitely a party on my taste buds!

This lovely fruit platter includes a plethora of vitamins from these sweet mangoes, apples, plumsies, and cherries. FYI, cherries may wreak havoc on the digestive system and may cause diarrhea if eaten in large amounts. =)

I love cornic!!! The salty garlic taste of this crunchy treat makes me smile and have bad breath.

Andrew decided that he wanted to make us his delicious OLIVE OIL CAKE!!!

Here they are the Zester and the Baker. I was the taster! =)

The secret ingredient...

It's done!!

Absolutely delicious!!!

After dessert we played Last Word which was very stressful. Boardgames that have timers and require talking fast give me anxiety but I LOVE IT!!!

Let me give you an example of how this game is played:

Category: THINGS THAT ARE EXPENSIVE
*That begin with the letter N.

Me: Nooses
Joey: Nooses?
Andrew: Yeah, well a Chanel one?
Timer: Buzz
Me: YAY I get to move a space!!

The night was only getting started because we were serenaded by our very own private dancer...

Tina Turner!! I watched her boogie her bootie in London as I petted what was once a Mink family/Mimi's reincarnated fur. It was very soft and warm and can also be worn around the neck.

Soon the night ended and I came home to this adorable baby boo boo butt...

He kind of looks like he has a lazy eye here!! I still love him though with all my heart. <3<3<3

Return to Reality

I'm back from Katherine & Kristina's Birthday Celebration! It was nice to see the old DG crew....=)

I'll post pictures soon!!

Kelly + Tine:

Nig-Nig: Fig-Fig: Wig-Wig

Let me give you a few examples on how to use these words properly:

"Wow there are a lot of Fig-Figs here."
"Don't get Nig-Nig on me."
"I love the Wig-Wigs!"

Random:

"What the hell are these carne asada burritos doing on the sidewalk?"
