Good to the Bone....

BBQ Chicken isn't short for barbeque chicken but for BEST of the BEST QUALITY CHICKEN! I think this place is a chain too because I think there is one in Irvine? I think its so funny! Bo and I were driving down Convoy the other day and we decided that we always pass this place so why not try it. They are open till I think 11PM or 12AM everyday! The fun thing also is that they have a Karaoke contest Friday nights (this place is small let me tell you) and the winner wins a $20 gift card!!!

Cavaillon Restaurant with my Loves

A few weeks ago Bo, Andrew, Fil & I decided to try Cavaillon Restaurant! We had a coupon of course because we are all about saving money. HAHA!! I love us.

We started the night off with some Foie Gras! I'm just not a huge fan of chutney. Don't get me started on chutney.

Followed by the beef tenderloin w/short ribs ravioli. Unfortunately, I didn't treat myself to Rossini like Bowie did. HAHA. I like how on the menu it said ***treat yourself by adding Rossini to any meat dish.

We ended the night with San Diego Magazine's 2008 Most Decadent Desserts....LOL! Bowie and I got the housemade ice cream.

I mean don't get me started we did eat more than this....a little bit of wine (even though we were already started from the homemade sangria we drank earlier), pomme frites, creamy potatoes, salmon....more more more!!

Congratulations Andrew!!!

This is a few weeks late...haha but better late than never!! Congratulations darling on running the LA Marathon!! =) You were AMAZING!!

Mochilato

Every time Bo and I go up to Irvine to visit Antho we almost always have Mochilato!! This is probably why we are so fat! HAHA. <3<3<3

I'm a fan of all the nutty flavors: pistachio and hazelnut (i'm not quite sure what the other brown one was i'm thinking Tiramisu?) but I decided that I wanted to try the plum flavor also.

I was thinking to myself oh this isn't that much "2 mochilatos....that's nothing" so I made Antho get a "small" shaved ice too. HAHA!! WE ARE BARBARIANS!!!! LMAO. Not to mention the fact that we were sitting by Tito Buff...haha that was fun.

Best Friend's Happy Hour Adventure at Unos

Joel and I went to happy hour this week at Uno's but I think their happy hour only had Coors for half off at the bar so we just decided to get some beers, pizza, and dessert! =)



We wanted to try their deep dish cookie sundae....which was pretty much the same thing as the Pizookie at Bj's. I think I prefer the one at Bj's more.

Adventures in LA with my Loves

Bowie and I were up in LA for the day enjoying his week off from school and me just enjoying a few days off of work. We did a little shopping but unfortunately didn't find anything! That was a disappointment! =( Boo. Anyway, Andrew made reservations at this cute restaurant called Animal. No, Animal from the Muppets wasn't there. HAHA. I was checking reviews on YELP and they were mostly good so I was excited to try the place!

After dinner Andrew took us to the most amazing Karaoke place i've gone to!! Where else do they have Come Close? You tell me...

Oh what a night! It was fun.

We had breakfast at Joan's on 3rd. Andrew and I got the steel cut oats and Bowie got some french toast. We also split this scrumptious banana chocolate muffin. The place was absolutely cute!! =) Too bad we didn't get to see Nicole.

Panera's Puffy Pastries

I didn't actually get a pastry because they were all sold out because Bo and I went pretty late in the evening but I did get a cinnamon crunch bagel and a chai tea latte! Bo needed to study and I needed to type up some data for work.

I was getting a bit nostalgic thinking of the Borders chai while drinking the Panera chai. It reminded me of when Andrew stocked up on Borders chai because we found out that they were switching to Seattle's Best Coffee and so he bought like 20 cans of it as if we were in an emergency crisis! Who cares about first aid kits when you can have a lifetime supply of Borders chai! Although it wasn't exactly a lifetime supply more like 8 cans.

I LOVE IT!!

Modus

After Bo's Birthday dinner we went to Modus in downtown. I guess YELP had pretty good reviews on the place. What made the place even better was that I didn't even notice that I was sitting next to Latika!! I was just enjoying my Malibu and pineapple and Bo pointed her out to me!!

To the aspiring dermatologists out there reading this blog....HELP! I was breaking out so BAD!! HAHA. I can't believe I'm even posting this picture on here but only for the sake of Latika. I love you.

Drinks were cheap and the music was fun! I had a good time and so did Bo! Happy Birthday!

Cup Cakes

There's a new cup cake place at UTC and I dared to try it!!! I tried the red velvet cupcake which was okay. I guess you can choose your toppings and type of frosting. It's not Sprinkles but it will do for now. I need to try the other cup cake places in San Diego.

Exercise Update:

Hi folks.

So seriously after eating 3 donuts and 2 cookies yesterday from VG Bakery in Cardiff I felt so guilty that I had to go gym it ASAP and did cardio yesterday for almost an hour and 15 min. Don't get me started on these donuts though...they were amazing!! No wonder it was voted best donuts in San Diego!!

Then this morning I woke up late but ended up meeting up with Joel at the Mission Valley 24 hour fitness and did 55 min on the EFX and 10 min on the bike and 20 min on the stairmaster!! We were in the zone and I felt like I worked out to the point that I almost felt like passing out. LOVING IT!!!

Joel and I were craving smoothies so we went to Robeks right after. I got my usual awesome acai. I'm starting to love Robeks a lot more now!

Chicago on a Bun

I could have also titled this entry, "How to make Andrew throw up!"

Went to eat lunch at Chicago on a Bun with Bowie and his madre. I didn't even know there were 3 locations! We went to the one in La Jolla. I used to come here with Joel for lunch and it was funny because I guess Joel would come here so often that the worker bees knew him and would be like "Hey Joel, the usual?" HAHA. It's good here if you don't mind spending 7 dollars on a hot dog with potato chips. On the other hand I guess the hot dogs are shipped from Chicago and the potato chips are homemade which makes it worthwhile I guess?

Beautiful

Bo and I went biking again at Miramar Lake last weekend but I only did 7 miles. I was tired and we went in the middle of the day in the blazing heat!!! I was sweating like Whitney Houston in my regular clothes and I was uncomfortable!! I ended up sitting at a bench enjoying the scenery and watching these killer geese live their lives and chatting it up with Bowie's friend....

Too Beautiful to Eat....

Just reading some blogs and came across Housemartin. I saw photos of the Laduree macaroons and it reminded me of Paris 2008!!

We sat on a bench on the Champs Elysees ate these oh so delicious macaroons and just enjoyed watching the fabulous people pass us by.....*sigh* I love Paris...

Best Friend's Dinner + 1

Bo, Joel, and I had dinner on Wednesday at Boomerang's Burger Joint in Clairemont. Joel kept on calling me on the phone on his way there because he was nervous that he was in a "shady" part of San Diego. When he parked he ended up clubbing his car and was a little paranoid. Don't get us started though because we've had experience with our things getting stolen.

We were a bit overwhelmed with the menu because you can create your own burger! Add all the fixins you want!!

Joel's burger....I haven't had the chance to upload pictures from Bo's camera yet. Bo was daring and didn't get a burger!

I enjoyed watching Joel wipe off all the ranch residue off of his burger and plate while trying to hand me all the veggies from the burger he didn't want to eat. How SHADY!!!
